Join us at 48Hacks — Singapore’s 1st National Level 48 Hours Hackathon, for your chance to work on the idea(s) you have been dreaming up all your life!
During the Hackathon, teams can “hack” any available APIs offered to create a working product which has the best chance of succeeding in the real world. To make it even more challenging, we are throwing in a "mystery sensor" that will only be revealed during 48H itself.
What I Can Look Forward To?
[1] Selected teams will receive SGD$4,000 worth of training, equipment and loan devices to get your invention looking good!
Training includes:
(i) Android SDK Foundations (+interfacing with Arduino)
(ii) Windows Phone Programming
(iii) Arduino Rapid Prototyping
(iv) Presentation & Pitching Workshop (during 48Hacks).
[2] 30 Teams will receive a SGD$3,000 scholarship* to pitch and win investment or licensing offers from investors at DemoAsia 2012 — Asia's premium pitching event.
[3] The top 5 teams will also receive an offer to apply for:
(i) Design Singapore Council's $100K Design Innovation grant
(ii) YES! $50K Start-up grant
(iii) 48 Hacks $6K Special Development award
Above all, meet people (potential collaborators) from the different tertiary institutions and HAVE FUN!

Who Should Attend?
Anyone who is keen to create something or push the boundaries on what you are able to achieve.
Team size should range from 2 - 5 pax. An ideal team should consist of:
- 1 Team Lead
- 3 Technical Personnel
- 1 Presenter
Participants can recruit their own team members or form teams on the very day itself. All are welcome :)
*The final decision to award the scholarship and grants are subject to terms and conditions set by the relevant funding agencies.
